What is Affiliate Marketing?

This Business Model called Affiliate Marketing basically involves earning commission for RECOMMENDING products from vendors to those who NEED them.



If you have been to a market in Lagos, Nigeria, you are bound to see Agberos who approach people and ask them what they want. After many enquiries, they take them to a particular shop where the buyer makes the purchase. And after purchase is made, the vendor gives the Agbero (Affiliate) a certain amount called commission. 



But that's offline Affiliate marketing; where you have to meet physically and also sell physical products. In online Affiliate marketing (also called digital Affiliate marketing), you do the work of an Agbero online. 



But you are asking? How? Don't worry, we'll get there.



Step 1.

Get a product.

You don't have to create your own product.

That is the joy of Affiliate marketing. You don't have to create a product; all you simply do is leverage on existing QUALITY products and bring them to the audience.


Products can be gotten from Vendors or platforms. E.g Konga, Jumia, Expertnaire, Amazon etc.

Look for the right audience.

Earn

A tracker tracks every sale.

Once a purchase is made by a customer, a system automatically tracks the affiliate through which the sale came from. And your commission is recorded without errors.

At the beginning of 2020, I wanted the following: A new laptop, A better phone (I was using Tecno with 1GB RAM), Travel to Europe to continue education. The only problem was My salary was only N20k a month. And in 2019, I only saved Zero naira. I realized that unless a bag of money falls from the sky into my laps, there was no way I was going to get those things I wanted. So, I started looking for a way to make extra money. Fast forward to June 2021, I came across this simple income system and from June till now, it has earned me the first 6 figures of my life and that was not all, I got a laptop and a new Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Two of my 2020 dreams. I was delighted. 


I came across affiliate marketing in my search of a better life, after almost dying of hypertension over a popular ponzy scheme that raved WAZOBIA.


I went into WAZOBIA with my one-month salary, I even borrowed to make sure I started - as I was promised a 50% after a week. It got to a week and I was told that to withdraw, I had to deposit my original investment (20k). I almost ran mad. That means, I needed up to 4 withdrawals to actually make profit. 


I borrowed to deposit and I received 30k. I was not totally happy because I know I was running at lost. Long story short, WAZOBIA crashed and many Nigerians regretted it.

Sometimes, you don't know who buy a product using your link especially when you use paid ads.
